SUMMARY:Fire Safe Council General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:After hosting our FSC General Meetings via Zoom for two years\, we are excited to announce we are bringing these events back in person starting this May! We will have an exciting guest speaker\, Douglas Stow\, a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at San Diego State University. He has worked in the remote sensing field for almost 45 years and his research focuses on multitemporal image analysis\, with an emphasis on mapping and monitoring of land use and land cover\, vegetation and habitat condition\, wildfire spread and post-hazard damage. He will kick off our meeting with a presentation on his research which focuses on how fuel and topography influence the rate of wildfire spread. \nAfterwards\, we will have updates from the FSCSDC Board and time for all partners and community fire safe councils to give an update of what they are working on.
