DESCRIPTION:Poway Emergency and Safety Fair Set for August 14 at Old Poway Park\nPresented by the Poway Neighborhood Emergency Corps\, in connection with the Poway Kiwanis and the Poway Fire Safe Council\n\nThe hot and very worst fire conditions threaten our community in the next few months and local organizations are hoping to inspire planning that will save homes and keep families safe. Make your plans now to attend the seventh annual Poway Emergency and Safety Fair from 9 am to 1 pm Saturday\, August 14\, at Old Poway Park.\nMany of San Diego county’s emergency and safety resources will be at the fair. The Kiwanis Club of Poway will present their “Kid Safety Program” and will be giving away children’s bicycle helmets.\nThe City of Poway will be represented by its Community Emergency Response Team and its Safety Services Department\, which consists of Fire Suppression\, Fire Prevention\, Emergency Medical Services and Law Enforcement Services. Also with booths at the fair will be the Burn Institute\, Trauma Intervention Program\, Palomar Radio Club\, SD Crime Prevention\, Senior Volunteer Patrol/YANA\, Girl Scouts\, Boy Scouts\, SDG&E\, Red Cross\, Animal Rescue Reserve\, Poway Fire Safe Council\, SD County District Attorney’s Victims Assistance Program and Fraud Division and Be Ready emergency supplies.\nThe fair is hosted by PNEC\, which assists the community of Poway with emergency preparedness and provides vital information and communication during an emergency.
