DESCRIPTION:Palomar Mountain Last Chance Survival Simulation Workshop \nAbout the training: \n\nFree to local residents\, this one day\, in-depth workshop covers recognition primed decision-making\, open-source fire intelligence\, contingency planning\, and other practices that may enhance the likelihood of surviving a fire entrapment scenario.\nThis workshop expands upon “Ready Set Go”\, a widely accepted statewide standard for wildfire preparation\, and builds on topics covered in the “Fire Operations in the WUI” workshop.\nIn the afternoon\, we’ll take the case studies\, planning models\, and other information covered\, and apply it to your community’s unique landscape and challenges by simulating an evacuation and visiting “Temporary Refuge Areas”.\n\nWorkshop Logistics: \n\nWhen: Saturday\, February 17th\, 2024\nTime: Registration begins at 8:30am.
