FSCSDC General Meeting

Join Us for the next Fire Safe Council of San Diego County General Meeting taking place on Thursday July 13th at 10:30amThe location of the meeting will be held at SDG&E Century Park East.

Special Presentation:

San Diego native Brittany Cole Bush will present the opportunities and potentials for using carefully managed grazing of small ruminants for vegetation management projects in San Diego. She will make the case for how:  

    • efficient & effective fuels reduction & fire breaks
    • invasive species & post-fire vegetation management
    • soil health and watershed restoration
    • increase in carbon sequestration potentials through reversal of desertified landscapes

“BCB Shepherdess” has over eight years of experience in land stewardship, livestock and the contract grazing industry managing a large-scale contract grazing outfit in the Bay Area of California. She has managed the project development and operations in performing successfully prescribed grazing contracts for public agencies and private land owners in over six counties and 2,000 acres of public and private lands, often along the urban/suburban peripheries. Clients include but not limited to: CalTrans, PG&E, East By Regional Parks District, a number of municipalities, land trusts and homeowners associations.
