Funding Sources

Funding for all Fire Safe Council of San Diego County programs is derived from various sources, such as agency, foundation, and corporate grants. Our current funders include:

  San Diego River Conservancy
Significant funding provided by the San Diego River Conservancy supports us to administer our fuels reduction programs, attend outreach events, host educational workshops, and supply educational materials.

United States Forest Service

Funding from the United States Forest Service and a National Fire Plan grant from the Cooperative Fire program of the U.S. Forest Service through the California Fire Safe Council was awarded to us to host educational workshops, support our county’s network of fire safe councils, develop Community Wildfire Protection Plans, and more.
