Funding Sources

Funding for all Fire Safe Council of San Diego County programs is derived from various sources, such as agency, foundation, and corporate grants. Our current funders include:

  San Diego River Conservancy
Significant funding provided by the San Diego River Conservancy supports us to administer our fuels reduction programs, attend outreach events, host educational workshops, and supply educational materials.

SDGE logo SDG&E / Sempra Energy
Funding from SDG&E / Sempra Energy has allowed us to continue our fuels reduction programs. Our Defensible Space Assistance Program (DSAP) and No-Cost Chipping Program provide important wildfire prevention services in San Diego County.
The Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County
The RCD manages the programs and the funds for the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County, offering in-kind support through staff time.
